Welcome Dr Worm, hope you enjoy your stay.

Sar, I know exactly what you mean by favourite films not always the same as best.

Some of the Best films (IMHO) I enjoy: Fight Club, Vanilla Sky, Gladiator, Leon, Memento, V for Vendetta

And my personal not-so-great films that I love? : Miss Congeniality!

Unsalted, Riding Giants, and In Gods Hands (as far as surfing movies go), Pulp Fiction, The Lost Boys (the vampire one), anything porn, Goonies. and Top Gun (right up until Goose dies, then the movie goes downhill from there).

In gods hands was a bunch of bollox, their was some good surfing in it but the acting was like a porn movie, the sponger in the end getting towed in was worth the money i paid for it.

Well, funny you should say that cos director Zalman King is a soft core porn director. He did Red Shoe Diaries and other such drivel.

The plot line was almost the same as a porn, it's probably why I liked it.

I like that movie Blood Surf too, where the guys go surfing in shark infested waters then a huge crocodile chases them.
