second hand board prices

hey guys at the moment im using my bros old minimal but i wanted to move down to a shortboard. I was just wondering how much a decent second hand shortboard would cost me?

second hand shortboards are so common particually now summer is over i see no reason why you cant pick up a decent one for under $150.

hmm somewhere between £100-£200 should be good. ive never paid more than £200 for a board and i probably never will. theres some good deals out there to be had.

I just picked up a 6'3" lost from a friend for $50 USD (one open ding, easy fix, otherwise good condition). it came with a tailpad, leash, and fins too

Look around in your local classifieds, here in the states we have craigslist, look for something similar

$50? oh no, i hope i didn't get jipped. i was going to pick up a used board (7'3'' funboard) that i found off craigslist for $150, and it has a penny-sized ding, and the nose needs to be fixed.

You can get a good board for anywhere from $100 - $350 or so, used, depends on what you think a good board is. You can buy a brand new board for upwards of $6-800 (not uncommon, especially with long boards)
I just paid $600 for an 8'4" with carbon reinforcement, big waste of money, but I am dumb like that.
Some boards even go up to $2,000 +, and some have a yellow tint to them from water seeping in through open dings, and those you can pick up for anywhere from Free to $50.

when i got my first short board i paid 200 USD the board at on point had some repairs done to it, but it more than good enough for me. that's the most i would pay for a used board.

ok. i feel somewhat more relieved. i just hope i'm not buying the wrong board... which in that case, will really suck. the seller never told me the specs, even after i asked him. all i know is it's a 7'3''. does it look like a funboard shape or a gun shape?

Looks like a shortboard shape. Definately not a gun. It's not sharp enough.

its hard to tell, looks lilke a semi-gun but with that camera angle you cant really judge the shape that well, doesnt really look like a funboard, but not needly like enough to be a gun either.

i dont think it matters if youre a beginner. youll probably eventually want another board because its too big for performance. but it looks like a good first board to me.

remove the sticker and put South coast stickers and bang its a replica of what im riding. Have fun

That board will tide you over a long while mehinks.
