in my personal opinion... I wouldnt.

you need to try a few on and see which brand/model suits you the best. Theres even variation inbetween the same brands/models as the panels might be cut slightly different.

Saying that, Id order the wetty I have now off the internet cos I know it fits me well.. and chances are another of the same make and design will aswell :D

Safe as in not getting ripped off or Safe as in getting the right wetsuit?

Safe as in not getting ripped off? Yes
Safe as in getting the right wetsuit? Yes, if you know the right size of wetsuit. I would always try a wetsuit on before buying it to make sure it fits right just to make sure. That said reputable online retailers should have a good return policy so even if it does not fit correctly you should be able to return it.

If the wetsuit is not up to scratch then send it back as faulty

ive bought a few wetsuits on the internet, but if its an off the peg suit its worth going to a shop to try one on before ordering - different companies have different sizes. I couldnt find one that fitted me well until i tried on a particular billabong suit that was just right so i searched on the web and got it less than half the price of the shop i tried it on in.

The real question isn't whether you are going to get ripped off, or whether it will fit you right or not.

The real question is, who was the last guy who peed in it?

I think I would want to know that.

Oh right one. I was thinking about my buddy who scuba dives with me, he just bought a used wetsuit off ebay. So, I was thinking about that when I wrote that.
