Favorite film and best film

Postby Sar » Tue Sep 12, 2006 9:09 pm

Im sure this must have come up before but Im a little bored as boyfriend is watching the football!

- I love films, they're so easily coupled with drinking and doing nothing which are 2 of my fave past times.

OK - I know favorite film and best film might sound like the same film but they're really not.

For example - my 'Best Film' Is City of God (Its brilliant through and through) but my favorite film is....oh god i'm actually going to say it, please dont judge me! 'You've Got Mail'!
There I said it, i dont know what it is. I usually go for films with some kind of credability but this one just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and as much as people have a dig about it I just like it - I cant help it!

So, what are your favorite films, best films and the films you hate to love.....?

Oh and worst film!

I have to put in 2:

The Sweetest Thing - got it for a xmas present, short film as I fast forwarded most of it.
and
Christmas with the Kranks - would like to point out that Im a youth worker and we took the kids to watch it, wasnt voluntary at all.

Both were terrible - I'll never get those lost hours of my life back, what a waste!

My fave comedy of all time has to be Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Action/kickup - Probably Zatoichi and Drunken Master
War - Where Eagles Dare, Full Metal Jacket, Private Ryan
Horror - hate horror
otherwise - Turtles Can Fly is a film I suggest everybody looks at. Also The Pianist is good.

Can't be assed to repeat all the obvious ones but here's a couple I recently saw and recommend.

Hostel - '05 horror (Dir=Eli Roth, Prod=Tarantino)
Running Scared - '06 thriller/cop/mafia (lead star=Paul Walker(Fast and Furious))
