zip keeps coming undone on wetsuit

Postby surfer16 » Tue Sep 05, 2006 11:52 am

Anyone had this problem before?

The zip at the back of my summer suit keeps undoing itself. I'll paddle out, catch a wave, paddle back out and the zip is totally undone.

I'm not so bothered now but I plan to wear my summer suit for as long as I can before I have to get into a winter one. I don't like the thought of my wettie constanlty getting flushed with freezing water.

any tips to keep the zip up?
anything I can do?

The wetsuit is pretty new, only a few months old and its a good make (oneill)

The suit fits perfectly, so I really shouldnt be having this problem :(

Are you pulling the zip thingy (whats the pully thingy on the end of a zip called?) above the velcro tab?

mine does that, but manly because its a cheapo £20 adsa shortie thats over a year old. It was fine to begin with so i guess its wear on the zip that caused it. If its under warranty get it fixed, otherwise what i do is- do the zip up and loop the strap thing around the bit which velcros the neck shut before i do the neck up. that seems to work for the moment but im binning this suit anyway once it gets too cold for it.
