Where is best to go in Devon in next few weeks

I want to go surfing in the next few weeks somewhere in Devon (or maybe East Cornwall). does anyone have any suggestions? I am a beginner if that makes any difference!

you can stay at lobb feilds, and surf saunton, but if its messy at saunton go to puts
