I'm SOOOOOOO Cooooold!

Postby iomarti » Wed Aug 30, 2006 9:09 pm

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm SOOO COLD!! (read like Nikki in BB!)

I am wearing a t-shirt and 2 jumpers. I have the HEATING ON! for the first time since April. Getting out of the sea today, I was freezing...my hands were really cold and I was actually a bit shivery.

It is winter again!! I guess I'll be putting my winter suit back on in a few weeks. And rash vest and anything else I can find for extra warmth.

BUT....

The Best Thing Ever...

I was able to recapture that bloody fantastic feeling of having a really hot shower after a surf, that is so amazing you just don't wanna get out!!

i walk around in flip flops all year round but for some bizaar reason the moment i hit water my body temp drops rapidly which is odd cause i dont really feel the cold unless im in water  even in summer when teh water temp is around 70-76 i still wear a wettie otherwise i can only spend 40 mins before chilling down.

This sounds really stupid but why not fill your wetsuit with some reeally hot water (from kettle or tap) before you go surfing
You will have Warm water in your wetsuit to keep you warm.
Try it , it does work.

... darhlin i mean this with utter respect ..but .. are you a mentalist ?!? ... you fill your wetsuit with boiling water ?! does that not lend itself to some form of severe nipple chafing at the very least ?! .. have you thought about throwing in a tea bag or two ..could be the way forward  :?

sorry i obviously know exactly what you mean but the imagery was just too good to Not take the P*** .. it is actually a cracking idea and would at the very least take that initial cold blast away when you first go in

although im still quite taken with throwing a couple of tea bags in as well ..or maybe a cup'o'soup ..hmmm ... " Sooooup

Well maybe not water from the kettle i mean just warm water...it does work though.. I surf in the North sea I dont think you can get any colder than that! And it does work, take my word for it.

And I might try adding soup, just for the feel.
