Any recomendations for a funboard?

Postby Midnight Rider » Tue Aug 29, 2006 6:50 pm

Hi all, great site!

I'm off to Morocco in Jan and fancy taking a board with me. Untill now I've been hiring the usual bic style minimals but I've heard that the funboards are good for starters too.

Trouble is they seem few and far between with the minimals being everywhere.

So anyone care to help me spend £300/400 on a new board, which brands would be worth considering.

Oh I'm 5.9" and 83kg.

Thanks

Do fun boards only go up to 7'4" as the CP ones end there.

I'm tempted by their minimals though look like good value. Are CP well made?

Well I went for the 7'4" Custard Point Funboard in the end.

Great deal as they threw in a quality 5mm board bag, quality leash and some wax all for £325l!! :D

Fun boards can go up to 7'8" (or larger.. it's all in the design), though they usually mirror more of the higher end of shortboard sizes, from 6' to 7'2" or so..
