Sorry, betraying my sportsbikes and off-road prejudices there... cruisers... cant stand 'em

"Cruisers. For People That Can't Ride Real Bikes"

I kinda agree, Cruisers are slow, no ground clearance , too much chrome to polish........ :x

:D :D :D :D

Ha.......my first 'big' bike was a Yamaha Virago 1000 while my mates had GSXR's and FZR's.

I wanted a bike like that cos I was doing a big tour of Spain.

The described it "like riding a spongey armchair"

In the thousands of miles travelled I never complained of a sore arse or

back!!

I really wanted a Super Tenere or Dominator, and only went into the bike shop as a bit of a joke when I saw the Virago.

Iwas certain they would never give me credit............I walked out half an hour later with a £3500 bike!!!

Nothing really.... well, as long as it doesnt rain

But I do think there's an attitude issue with ducati riders, who more often than not look down on japanese bikes despite the fact that the japs are far better at making 'em!

I can understand that, the prob i had with my Duke was that a major service would cost me about £750.00, where as my GSXR was only £250.00.

i do miss the sound of a V-twin though......
