Surfing On my Own

Postby robie_k » Sun Aug 27, 2006 8:12 pm

Hi guys n gals,

You guys rock you all really friendly on here! :D I've decided to be wild and take one month off this december and spend it surfing and traveling by myself. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on suitable destinations for the single traveler, what about surf schools can anyone recommend a really awesome one that they've been to on their own. I defo want to be able to meet cool like minded people where ever i go and be in an environment where u are able to mix in easily with other surfers n stuff.

Also if anyone is interested in surfing over this decemeber drop me an email,

Robo

money would be the desciding factor  got any idea where you want to go? otherwise we could end up lsting every viable country with decent surf and weather - strike that the list would be very small

have a look at wannasurf.com as I think you'd find that helpful.

Sounds great - a whole month, just to travel and surf.... you'll have an amazing time..

Morrocco is cool, I've never been, but I've been investigating a holiday there with my friend, we found it's incredibly cheap to fly there from london using ryan air, you can fly return for about £40...

It's a start, perhaps!

YOU'RE JOKING! I'm going to Morocco then... I don't know when, but at that price and with nice waves, I'm definitely going!

You´re right ! And knowing the local surfschool they use is Quicksilver Surfschool aswell.

I think major brands and companies like that should check out the schools first on quality etc before actually joining as one !

Anyone would think a quicksilver surf school would be good to go with, but like I said, when my mate was there they definately weren´t up to scratch !
