umm, dunno who told you its gonna be 5ft on monday but i cant see that happening. Besides 5ft is way to big for a first time beginner, if it gets to that size here the surf schools move to more sheltered locations. And 16 degrees is not freezing either, its warm.

Surely the only option left is to 'slot' your oldman then flee the country to Indo and enjoy a crazy life!

man, i know exactualy what uv just been through ( well its similar), im now 14 and when i was 10 or sumin like that i got my mum to take me to have some surf lessons, but then after a year she said it was getting to expensive and @ 10 a lesson it was, so iv never had a lesson since, but the truth is what can be taught in one lesson surf instructers take about 2 lessons, they got to make a living some how.

find some people that surf in your area and go with them once uv had a few lessons, and get them to teach you, it what i did and my surfings great.

Ummm hate to be the one to break it to you, but Magic seaweed isn't quite as simple as that. When you get to the beach the waves probably wont be like MSW predicted as its a tool to be used in combination with other surf predicting/ weather predicting methods. And 5ft onshore is not what you want for your first surf lesson.

and there is this kid in my year at school who surfs, so ill just ask him,i dont have a board as parents saying go to the 'surfing school just to see if you like it'.And im just like well er of course i will otherwise why would i spend like all my money i have on going(i do have a bank account with quite a bit of money in but thats under the whole 'for your future' thing which i suppose is right but its annoying) . I have enough for a begginers board now and if i go it will set me back 20 quid so ill have to wait for some money to come in from outer space or something so i can buy one and im a bit PI$$ED off because i have saved for ages :x
