I NEED A SURF TRIP!!

Postby JQ » Mon Aug 21, 2006 10:04 pm

Hiya all... I'm a total noob... but the more I read about surfin and see movies about surfin, the more I wanna do it. I live in Brussels (for you yankie doodles, thats in belgium, which is not a province in/of France.... its a country) which happens to be an hour away from crap surf in waters that just this week were polluted by some factory (heard it on the radio). I have no car, and no cash (will get some in a bit, but not enough to do a trip on my own).

IS ANYONE PLANNING A SURF TRIP FOR SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2006?????

I was thinking that if there was one, I could join up, and we could pass by the Quiksilver Pro in France (22 Sep - 1 Oct) and then follow the crowd to Mundaka in Spain for the Billabong Pro (2 Oct -14).... Would be cool to see the pros at it, and obviously for those that I would be accompanying, they could surf the best of Europe (whilst I paddle around in the small stuff)

Anyone... please... I need to know what its like!!

the WCT pro events are great, but they do attract crowds so might not be the best place to go for a beginner while the events are on.
Theres lots of spots along south west france with established surf schools, you can get a train from brussels to a major toen down there and bus it out to one of them for a holiday and rent a board or get some lessons if you know anyone else who might be interested then go for a holiday there while its still sunny ;)

Okay...

When I first read it seemed insulting (still does). Idiots are everywhere. They're not ALL here. It just seems wrong to join a forum and start throwing out insults/jibes with out really establishing a rapport with anyone first. But, I'll forgive you...Cheers!Image

Exactly my thoughts too driftalong. JQ you'll get much better response if you don't jump in feet first like you did even though it was meant as a jibe. Perhaps you should take up pole surfing instead!!! :D

Is the aimed at me??

Return to Bali was £500..........$2600 seems a bit much!!!

You can get a Round the World ticket for less than a grand!!
