Enjoy life while its still there

Postby FormosanSurfer » Mon Aug 21, 2006 6:55 pm

A few days ago my surfing buddy, and all around good guy, A Hao - was hit by a hit and run driver and left brain dead. This is a reminder to me of how short life is. My friend was only 23 years old, straight out of college, and just engaged and now his life is over.

He was a good surfer, I wish I could be there for him and his family.

Here is the only picture I can find of us together.

i know this isnt much of a consolation but i'm sure he's surfing some form of wave right now. we always will be whether we are here on earth or not. i hope for the best for his family and friends that they'll find the comfort that i'm sure he found in the waves.

You've got something no one can take away, and thats in your head, the memories of all the good times you had with your buddy. There is no reason you can't be there for his family

So sorry to hear about your bro' .. but my man .. never give up on him ( i know you wouldnt ) but never underestimate the power of a mans heart to heal a brain ..

He could regain some mental ability as i cant go with doctors man .. i just cant .. keep the faith for your bro and see what may happen in the future ..he is still here and that is the main thing .

Peace and love

I just lost someone close to me as well. Life is very unpredictable. The only thing we really have control over is ourselves. The grieving process is intense but you will feel better and you will be a stronger person from this.

Sucky suckky and sukkkky :(

I've yet to deal with close loss so I can't comment really, but If its anythign like I think it would be like then it sucks.

I'm sure I'd deal with that sort of thing by dedicating a surf session on my own to the person. Thoughts to yourself...

I would love to. Unfortunately I moved far far away (20 hours by plane) and am no where near the ocean until December.

I heard through a friend that he has recovered slightly. Some people think he knew they were there with him. Thats a small step but its something! I wish I knew more details but the 13 hour time difference is making it hard to get any answers.
