Is it possible to surf a wave on a body board i was thinking is it just like surfing a small fishboard or is it impossible... :? :?

people do drop knes on body boards, but iv never seen them properly stand up

Theres a fair few bodyboarders around the world that stand up on the sponge. Not loads as its bloody hard to do but Chris Won is a name to google...

GOOGLEING.....

i might try it when i go on holiday which is bad because predictions say 1ft waves all round :( :( which is even worse because theres a surf school on the beach... :( :(

On small stuff it take alot to get going but withthe right nose shape and thickness its very possible.

You might want to check out the Retrosepct series of bodyboarding DVD's. There've coverd the last 15 or so years of sponging in a archiving/historical sence with some fantastic footage from past and present riders.

i dont actully body board my self i want to start surfing but it would be funny if i could :)

I can dropknee on a bodyboard but standing up is mighty hard particually if you have bulky swim fins. (i can do it without fins okayish - ummm when i stand up nothing fancy happens i feel sooo unstable but dropknee is another kettle of fish)

Watching someone who is pretty good at dropknee is awsome like watching jeff hubb preform a dropknee ellrollo WOW
