when it comes to music posts, i always see people talking about musicians like ben harper and jack johnson. but most of you fellas are from england, you should be listening to the smiths, radiohead, etc. and i should be listening to the jack johnson such. not the other way around.

now i may be the exception in hawaii, where radiohead fans are widely outnumbered by the alternative, but are you an exception as well, english?

I like Radiohead, well 'Street Spirit(fade out)' and 'Creep' at least :D .
And TBH I find Jack Johnson too mellow really. Don't think I've ever heard Ben Harper :? .

I had a phase when I kept hearing 'Creep' just before getting to the beach and discovering it was flat. So now Creep is my 'flat song' and it must never ever ever be listened to when planning a surf :?

Hmm :? ... I had to have a listen to Creep just after I posted, and this was when I was waiting for the tide to come up a bit more so the waves at the spot I was gonna surf would be optimum() but afterwards chica moi called from her office at work to say I had a few things to pick up from Tescos if I was at a loose end.
I obliged sort of begrudingly as I would have rather got on the road really and then just sat at the beach until it looked good enough, but I had nothing really concrete to deny her this small errand so I went to Tescos.
It was fkn chaos, trolleys everywhere, couldn't find what I needed, took ages, and I had to come home to put stuff in the fridge before going surfing.
Anyway I got to the beach and kept seeing people I know leaving and they said it was great, where had I been and that there are still a few nice sets coming through, nice one dude see ya later!
I rushed in and soon realised the tide was already pretty full, and got about an hour in before it turned fat and backed off pretty much on every wave :x !
...so Radiohead's 'Creep' will now only be played after a surf and certainly never just before from now on!
