As goes the trend of asking kitey if he can repair stuff..here's another one

What do you think of possibly repairing this, or making a copy?

PS. Few more photo's to come

Delam city here we come ;)

Lots of spots where you can make little repairs. But it'll all turn to shyte sooner or later.

Or skin it and reglass (i.e., recondition).

Or clone it.

SP will be starting a new section soon if this trend continues Kiteys repair column.
I think doug's right it's definately a candidate for having the glass removed and a completely new glass job put on. I've never done it myself but on the big repairs i've done so far it's surprising just how easy it is to remove the glass from a board. A bit of light sanding and your away for a new glass job.
The problems start coming in when you've got a board which already has alot of ding repairs in it. Then it's harder to get the glass off and you it will be harder to sand the blank once the glass is off as you'll have areas with resin and filler sticking out of the blank.
When i was fixing jennies board there was a resin filler ding repair right in the middle of where i'd removed the glass and it took ages of very careful scraping with a stanley blade to get it down without damaging the surrounding foam.
So if it's free from ding repairs then maybe you should get it reglassed.

Only two smallish ones. Both about 2x2cm.

So...Here comes the next problem..finding someone to do it..how much it's gunna cost (seeing as my computer needs fixing as well :( ) And..how long would it take to be finito?

Read this http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=181206#181206.

Basically:
- Remove all the glass.
- Do any cosmetic fixes/filling.
- Lightly sand.
- Reglass.

You could do all this yourself. Or just stripping, fairing and sanding and get someone else to glass it. Or get a pro to do the whole thing.

Would be a nice little project :D

Go on dec, do it yourself! I'm sure between us myself and doug can guide you through the process!
Once you'ce got all your materials you could easily have it done in a week. Actual hours work it would take me 8-10 hours but i generally faff alot!

ooh...so remind again about shaping etc.

Somehow I think I would spoon it up, and it would end up 1 ft shorter :D

How much would it cost to get a pro to do it all?

I'd probably charge someone £150 just off the top of my head but i have no idea what a pro would charge.
