We got a new Office Manager at work a couple of months ago. Cant stand him - hes a fat lazy sod who did nothing all day and got paid a fortune for it. He had a meeting with Bill and Alie (my bosses) over the weekend, and agreed that he wasnt up to the job, and that he'd be happy to go back to being a driver again.
I got his job

I went into work today and got called straight into my bosses office. T'was only Alie in as Bill aint feeling to good (he had a heart attack a couple of weeks ago and had his first treadmill session yesterday). She kept going around the official ''congratulations, we wanna give you the job'' thing for ages, just dropping in hints like 'we want you to do a normal monday to friday week... we want to get you a new computer for the other office so you can do this that and the rest of it... weve never had any luck with men running the office... youre well organised...''. After about an hour she turned round and said it ''We both feel that youre young enough and eager enough to take a proper approach to it, and we're sure that you'll be able to handle it much better than Twatface did'' (sorry, saying his real name makes me wanna heave!)
That wasnt the thing that made me smile though...
''Theres only one person in this company who we fully trust and know we can rely on... You''
I would post a huge grinning smiley but there isnt one big enough.
Start officially on Monday, which is my birthday. Kinda sucks cos I've never worked on my birthday before, and I have to be in there at 6.30am (GAAAH!!), but what a present!
Ok, happy rant over now
