old surfboard sculptures

Postby hawaiiSUCKSexceptsurf » Sun Aug 13, 2006 3:45 am

i have a few old surfboards that in my opinion are destroyed. i also have a lot of destroyed spare fins. ive seen benches and chairs and tables made out of surfboards in peoples yards here. ive also seen them painted white and used as a canvas for a really nice painting. anyone have any other ideas?

i found this on google

There's a guy right up the street from one of the breaks I surf that made a mailbox out of it. It's so tight, basically cut a hole in the middle to put the opening of the mail box in there.

that is an excellent idea. you could eben lean two shortboards into each other, fit a mailbox through holes in both, and dig the boards into the ground so that they har holding the mailbox. too bad i dont have a yard and the mailbox is fitted in a concrete wall.

I still think you could do something cool with that. Just be creative, tons of good ideas out there, but one of your own is even cooler.

definetly. but i live in the city and that makes me sad. i barely have enough room to lay my board on the ground outside my house. i always see sourfboard paintigs out in peoples yards facing the road in the country.
