Well my fitness schedule is as follows:

Running
Swimming
Weight/Calisthenic Training

Three times a week I do weight lifting.
Five days a week I run and go for a swim (I'm up to a kilometer freestyle and sidestroke)

I used to be a half-marathoner for two years, so endurance sports are an instinct. I would recommend Rocky Snyder's book, Fit to Surf because it has surfing specific workouts and tons of exercises.

Pressups, pullups, crunches/situps/leglifts, squats and back extensions are great or improving strength and stamina if you have no access to a weight room.

I have to start lifting. I could barely pop up- it took me a good few seconds to hold myself up :cry:
