Wetsuits are...

Postby Patrick__69 » Fri Jul 28, 2006 8:25 am

I know they may be:
1.Hard to put on and off
2.Cold to put on in the morning
3.Cause rashes on your body
4. Booties may give you a few blisters at first,

But I like them. They keep me warm in good surf that could be too cold otherwise. The main reason why I like them though is they keep me afloat. I have had a few close calls being hit in the head by my board  or a big crash where if I had not had a wetsuit I may have come close to drowning and thats not fun at all. So Im going to thank the people who made wetsuit's. Thank you.

that's correct... Jack O'Neill invented them I think.

Patrick, if you find your wetsuit hard to put on, try leaving your socks on while you're putting it on (and then removing socks before goinng in the water)

and if you want to make your suit a little drier, get it inside out, lay a towel flat on the ground, then lay your suit over the towel, then roll suit and towel up tight and then step on the rolled up towel/suit combination...... a lot of the water transfers to the towel which can be put into a clothes dryer

My 2 cents

Good man el_timmo!

Plastic bags over hands and feet help getting the things on, too.
