Becker Funboard Speed Shape Surfboard

Postby flare » Sat Jul 29, 2006 5:07 am

First off, hello! Yet another newbie with some questions for the experienced.

Can someone tell me what the beck funboard speed shape series 4.0 (say that 10 times fast...) surfboard is all about? I have no prior surfing experience; however, I bodyboard, if that means anything. I'm 6'1 and 150lbs of skin and bones, and the board's about 8 ft. Would I kill myself on it? Or rather, can I learn on that thing? I know a foamie or even a mal is easier to learn on, but since the becker is a gift, I'd rather not spend any extra cash. Surfing's an expensive sport!

Thanks in advance!

URL? Picture? Dimensions? :?

You've not given a lot to go on

But, at a guess, an 8ft funboard shape should be okay to learn on, paricularly as you've got 'wave experience'. One way to find out
