1st shortboard

Postby megsurfgurl » Sun Jul 30, 2006 10:12 am

hey,
At the moment i ride a 7ft3 minimal that ive been riding for about 2years. Ive gotten really bored of it now, because i feel i can not achieve much more on it. i am looking for a more challenging board, that i can perform on and learn more tricks and turns, & ive been told that a shorter board will help me do that. I am 14years old, 5ft3ish and weigh about 8stone-8.5 stone (sorry i cant find any weighing scales!). & i surf down rest bay, in wales, so the waves arent that big down there. I go surfing about once a week, but in the summer holiday, im pratically down the beach most days.

If any one could tell me a size that might suit me, or even a board company that is good, i would really appreciate it!

Thankyou!

Hey!

I know a kid who is about 14 now (a guy) and a similar weight..he rides a 6'8 and a 6'10. Something that has more volume than the standard shortboard!

Good luck
