Hi all just want to introduce myself. My names Clint and im from the Surf centre of Birmingham England. LOL!

Ive been searching all over for some decent advice on travelling aboard, but to be honest looking at earlier threads has answered most of my questions.
I would just like to say what a friendly helpful bunch you all seem to be,going by earlier threads. As i said Ive looked all over the net for advice and there seems a lot of sarcasm and hostility on some other surf forums (no names mentioned) So much so Ive been a bit worried about asking any questions because of the trolling that seems to go on.
Any way! Ive been learning to surf for the best part of ten years travelling mainly to St Ives to get in the water. Not as often as id like due to work, money etc etc. This year Ive decided to go on a year out travelling to Goa, Bali, OZ, New Zealand, Fiji, Christmas Island, Hawaii, then the states. (Lucky me!)

Hopefully this will take my surfing to a more satisfying level as i'm hoping to encounter clean consistent surf with out the need for a steamer.

So as i say nice forum and ill be posting. Hopefully from some exotic locations!

Hi clack, wow, thanks for the forum appreciation...

I know exactly what you mean though. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming, that's why I stayed.. I left a message once for some advice and was blown away by the help I got, and couldn't help but stick around, I hope you do too.

Your surf trip sounds electric! I'm really really jealous! And it goes without saying that you'll have to keep us updated as you travel round the world, and make us all green with envy.

Anyway welcome, and I'm raising my glass of Chardonnay to you now... :D

Cheers. :D Im leaving in October for Goa. Im not too sure how long im stayin there, it just depends on how much i like the place. I hear its really beautiful and very cheap so if the waves are good then im looking at maybe 3 months. Has anybody got any tips on finding cheap clean accomidation, and what sort of money its gonna cost me?
Brian whats the water temp around Sydney in Feb mate? I was under the delusion that it was shorts and rashy! Im gonna be takin my suit anyway because i was expecting N.Z was pretty cold.
