Summer "dress up" parties are always bad news around here.

I have vauge memories of one we went to a few years ago... The "pre-party prep" is quite clear, tho.

48 stubbies of beer. 2 bottles of bubbly. 6 ciders. 6 tins bourbon and coke. 12 "vodka cruisers". 1 2 liter cask of red wine. Three guys and two girls in our little group.

Six hours later we were out and getting stuck into the complimentary booze.

Mate of mine was dressed as Jim Morrison... Started smoking weed... Started thinking he was The Lizard King... Had a fight with his girlfriend. running around the neighbourhood naked.

Ah good times... Sore heads!

When i was in my first year of uni I would have a bottle of wine to get tipsy before i went out then probably 20+ vodkas when i was out not be sick and not be too hungover. We would start drinking at 11 in the morning, head down to the uni pub at 12 and keep drinking till 4 in the morning wake up at 10 the next day and start drinking again at 11. I kept this up for a year, waking up everymorning with really bad back ache (my kidneys). When i went home for the summer i had really bad shakes for 2 weeks cos of alcohol withdrawl. Fookin awsome year but i wouldnt do that to my body again

Now I can have 1 glass of wine and a vodka and i go pink and giggly

the reality was we had to get out of the campsite bar as the nice dude had done that " turn all the frickin lights off " thing, so i said right ive got 37 secs to down the last drop and made sure it lasted 36

Although i was gassing up pretty bad on just 2pints of Carlsberg

Essex,

In my defence we had been training for it for a couple of years (heavy drinking 2 days a week).

And it was a special party (friends' engagement).

And we ended up pretty pissed (surprise!).

And I dont drink like that any more. Takes too much out of me.
