BALI

Postby sammyjacobs » Thu Jul 20, 2006 2:27 pm

Hi Everyone---

Just joined the forum and look for some advice for my trip to BALI, which is part of a one year around the world tour.

I am an intermediate surfer....no barrells yet, but dreaming. Where should I go, for my short trip from Sept 14th-Oct 8th in Bali? I hear Dreamland, but its way crowded....Or should I take a ferry to Lombok and go surf at Kuata?

Looking for a nice chill beach, doesn't have to be epic, as I am not experienced enough. Also, I may want to buy/rent a board during this time, so the location cannot be completely remote.

Thanks for any advice
Samantha

Welcome to the forum.

Dreamland is crowded, but like anywhere, if you get there early enough, there's only going to be a few surfers out.

Your best bet for buying a board is Kuta, Bali.

I'll be out there when you're going, so if you want me to show you the ropes, PM me 8)

Is Dreamland only reef breaks? Why can't I find this beach on a map of Bali?

It's a sandy bottom and really mellow 8)
