I was more scared than her. I'm a little bit scared of vampire bats........and the nearest hospital was on the next island 40 minute boat ride away

It's like roughly a week later and I still have a mark! Heard something scuttling about under my wardrobe last night, so I think I'm going to go spider hunting with a can of deodorant and a cigrette lighter later...

ahhhh thats nasty man i wouldnt sleep in that room. in hawaii we have wold spiders that can be 5 inches in diameter... the can only take chunks of your skin though, no venom.

Dont bother with the lighter and deoderant as I lost a vast chunk of a deposit on a rented flat cos i chased a spider across the lounge and burnt a nice big trail through the carpet.

That's a GOOD point! I guess it could have been my imagination / paranoia, I'm a little nervous sleeping since it happened.

those spider pictures made me almost xxxxx my pants...im arachnaphobic or whatever..huntsmans are big and they scare the fleshin' out of me.. have had a couple in my room..i like cant move when i see one ahh

Mate, spiders NEVER used to bother me at all, NOW, though, I'm a little (make that a lot!) nervous around big ones, that bit hurt like a hornet sting, made me seriously ill for a couple of hours and looks like it'll scar!!!!!
