:D

I've torn a muscle and trapped another one between the bones. Apparently the x-ray or/and (?) MRI showed a problem with the bone alignment or something. I was in too much pain to listen properly. All I know is that they are reshaping the bones and possibly repairing the muscle if they need to. Sounds painful. This time tomorrow I'll be under the knife. Eeeeeeek. Thanks for everyone's replies. It's really nice to know you all care.

I am SO sorry to hear about that, I really hope you get well soon. Hey though, at least you got a really good surf out of it! :D

And yeah, I've broken a few things in my time (arm, leg, hip, nose, knuckles etc) and the sawbones ALWAYS dramatically over-estimate recovery time, so you'll probably be better by Autumn. I think everyone here hopes you will.

P.s could you pm me your email addy so I can send you something please?

Thaya, remember to really exagerate the pain to the docs(not sure you'll actually need to) after the operation and get as much morphine as they'll let you have. Then tell em your having trouble sleeping. Morphine and tamazpan is a great combination, you totally forget about the pain and don't get a come down!

Hey thaya,
That sounds so nasty - hope the pain isn't too bad. Totally agree with 'kick-in-balls' style revenge (or plam, depending on your preferences!)
Hope the op. goes well tomorrow and thinking of you :)

hey guys thanks so much! I was so shocked to get home and find a ton of cards on the doorstep. I love you all. I've just been to the docs this morning cuz I've lost feelin in my hand. They told me to go to A&E straight away in case i've got nerve damage. Naturally I thought I'd stop by the computers and say hi before I go.

The op went ok (well, maybe not seeing as i can't feel my hand anymore) but I spent 6 hours in the recovery room cuz my heart decided to go off on one. I'm in pain, miserable, feel totally handicapped and frustrated.

I've got some nice drugs sorted. Morphine, fentanyl, temazapam, tramadol and a few others. I'm spending my days feelin high but low. really strange. Been doing lots of dream surfing and camping. Had a wierd dream last night about you lot. It was back at the camp site. Dbbb and mrs dbbb were showing off their new purple hover boards (like the ones from back to the future!); I'dratherbe was spewing pink marshmallows (why are they called that by the way?) Cheezee was singing oklahoma; Phil and wishkid were making boards out of been cans and insisting they would work if tied togther with string, kitesurfer was trying to stop cheezee from singing and looking for some masking tape which surferdude had in his bag (why???), and I was playing strip poker with eltimmo, iomarti and jennie. I woke up just as I was losing badly and was down to my bikini. man these drugs are bad. I've been having all sorts of hallucinations and i never know where I am or what i'm doing. Actually, I'm supposed to be going to A&E. I should be going now. I can't feel my hand and it's scaring me. Did i say that already? So why are marshmallows called that? It's bugging me. ARe they actually called that? I think i've got that wrong haven't I. Oh my head is sppinning. Don't know when I'll be back on line I expect not for a while. love you all loads. miss reading all these threads. see you soon I hope. your texts and messages really cheer me up. love you all.

I wanna be there!!!!
Okay, I'll skip the pain etc, and even the drugs, but can I have the hallucination? Or better still, the purple hover boards!

Hope you feel better soon, although not too better as your trips are pretty amusing for us! :D

(Seriously - hope the recovery starts soon and goes super-quick)
