What wax are you using in the UK?

Stupid though why wax comes in stupid cellophane or little cardboard boxes. Why don't they make them like some hair wax or like lipsticks, where they come in a tube, and you wind up how much you want, and then put the lid on.

ye, I use a small carrier bag. Mrs Palmers wax comes in a little cardboard box as well as some other wax which is a bit better for keeping the wax clean. But the wax like Mr Zoggs that comes in a wrapper is a bit annoying and you would need something like a bag or box to keep it clean.

Has anyone tried northern lights cold water wax? I tried it today and I found it didnt really give me much grip. Luckily I brought with me what I had left of some zoggs, quickly threw that on and I had a good surf day.

I am sure the wax is better than what I have got out of it, is there a specific way you are meant to put it on, or are you meant to really load your board up with the stuff? I had previously cleaned my board cos a load of sand had got on it so I was starting with a clean slate.

well you dont want your board or your wax to be warm when you're applying it or it doesnt stick to the board properly. i find that to get the right texture of wax i need to rub accross the board then along the board at right angles to the direction you stated. its easier to do this in sections rather than rub the wax ove the whole length of the board.

also im going for cool water wax at the moment, hope that helps. oh and everyone feel free to correct me if im tlking out of my @rse
