fistral/perranporth/newquay in august anyone???

Postby IdRatherBeSurfing » Mon Jul 03, 2006 5:27 pm

Im there on 19th august for a week - just wondered if anyone wanted to meet up and battle with the nobs and foamies? I know iomarti lives there so may be able to meet up with her for a bit.

am going there with the parents and lil brother so a few surf buddies would be awesome to help pass the time

... lol .. Phil is completely innocent of all charges brought against him ... technically he had nothing to do with the actual "changing of your name " .. that can only be done by SP' :P

As to Newquay ?" ... yeh that would be cool , i could catch up with a landlord and landlady that offered me their BB so's they could retire .. i still dont have the money but maybe their really really fed up with it by now and would let me play manager !! .. somehow i see running a BB suiting me quite nicely :D

... How big is your garden 'marti ?!! ... enough for say a few tents .. maybe .. hehehe :P

sadly my flat has no garden... really!

Fistral beach will have to do instead. Seriously rent in newquay is SO expensive, the fact i'm so close to the beach means a flat with garden is way way way out of my humble budget!

also i feel like i should stick up for poor down trodden newquay.

It's really not as bad as you guys like to make out. There's a great community here, everyone is friendly, the surfers here are just lovely and if you go out at night, the atmosphere in the right places is fab.

The coast path is great and I love sitting by the harbour, and you can often ask nicely and you can get free boat rides which is so nice.

If I ding my board I take it to the same lovely shop everytime who don't charge me much and we always have a good ol chat. It's the small things...

I like Newquay... (you just gotta ignore the stag and hen parties, but to be honest its not that hard. They are quite predictable - they lie on the beach all day and go to Berties at night....)

i dont think anyone is slating Newquay itself more the people that swamp it in the summer ..obviously theres nothing can be done about that side of things ... so i reckon its like this town .. " as long as you know someone who lives there then you'll have a good time and avoid the jerks & jerkettes  :D

nice lil'harbour but was never offered a boat ride ! ... and i will say that ive never seen blue'er water in the uk than i saw down at fistral that year :D
