Accomodation in Fuerteventura

Postby Choppa » Thu Jun 29, 2006 9:11 pm

I'm headed to Fuerteventura mid-July to try get some decent waves in the summer. Anyone know of chilled hostels/backpackers near any of the good surfspots?

Sorry I dont mean to rain on your parade but I would be surprised if there is much surf in mid July.

It doesn't tend to pick up until October out there.

Plus it'll be heaving with nobbers and fat germans (no offence) :o

I'd camp if I was going that time of year, get out on the north track and spend the money you would have spent on accomidation on a rental car.

I stayed there once in a Surfcamp in Corralejo: Ineika Fun Center. ttp://www.ineika.de/de/index.html

Regarding waves in summer: It gets really good from September on normally. Although I have been to Lanzarote last August and I had my fair share of waves every day. Not epic but alright.

Cheers for the advice folks. Looks like the car is the option then!
