bad for traveling,
if their not glassed properly they will damadge board,
looks cool,
thats about the main points

Guessing that we are talking shortboard here? If you are not planing air travel and know what you want (or trust the shapers advice) go fixed fins for sure; I find that they provide a much more enjoyable ridding experience... Otherwise go a removable fin system that gives you the flexability you need.

i broke my fin off, not on purpose, and because it was a home made board form some guy in devon, the fin took half of the board with it when it broke because it hadent been glassed properly.
