Surf Travel Stories

Postby izzmunkee » Tue Jun 27, 2006 2:28 pm

I had search for this and couldnt find anyting on it so here goes and also wasnt sure if this should go in the travel info and tips bit but as it isn't really info or tips I thought I would try here.

Does anyone know of any good surf books about travel stories and stuff. Similar to Bill Bryson books (if you know them) but about surfing. So far I can either find stuff about the history of surfing, the psychology of surfing, facts about the construction of surfing, biographies, autobiographies or travel information down costa rica. I was just wondering if anyone new of the surf travel stories type of books?

Cheers.

thanks. I have just finished reading Eddie would go. It is a good book.

I would also recommend Walking on Water by Andy Martin if anyone is interested. One of my fav books, its currently out of print so pretty hard to get hold of, I managed to find a copy second hand.

Wow yea!

GO Bill Bryson! He's totally crack up aye! Have you finished reading 'A Short History of Nearly Everything' yet?? Awesome!!

Oh and surf mags have a tonne of good surf travel stories. That might be the best forum where you'll find em anyway.
