I have to ask..... where the hell are the moderators!?

Im getting my first tattoo next week, its kind of a consolation prize for not going to the summer meeting. Its going to be fairly big, on my foot and up my leg, is that quite a painful place to have one?

I wouldnt say its painful, uncomfortable maybe, but not painful. The closer you are to bone the more it vibrates, which is where I think the ''pain'' thing comes in. If youve got skinny ankles and the design goes on/over your ankle, then it might be quite uncomfortable.

The one on my left wrist goes over the little lumpy bone thing and that was strange. But I dont remember it hurting. Everyone always asks ''ooh how do you put up with the pain'' and it confuses the hell outta me cos there wasnt any. At worst it feels like a cat scratch, but thats pretty much only when the inking starts, and for some reason it always feels worse when he's working on black areas. When its healing it feels like a very mild case of sunburn.
