right I've got somethin to say so I'm gonna resuscitate this ridiculous thread becuase it's kind of on topic.... thats not hard seeing as this thread covered quite a lot of things, but mainly snakes and fish, and I wanna tell you about fish.

Fistral Beach - sitting outback - about 9am yesterday morning......

This tough guy is waiting outback for a big set and he's lookin all hard, like he's smiling at me and then scanning the horizon for his wave... not chatting like everyone else..

And then he suddenly started screaming like a girl...flapping his hands around and he fell of his board...it seemed so unprovoked, it was bonkers..

when he got up from falling underwater, he started screaming 'fish! fish! fish!'... apparently a fish had swum past his foot and freaked him out...
after waiting patiently for waves all morning he got the first ride in!! And what was funny was that everyone started screamin and freakin out a bit, and everyone caught that first wave back to the beach... including me, i'm afraid, mass hysteria, what can you do?!

Well there you go. I found it very funny. And a bit gross too.

Leaping on to your board???? That makes me feel sick :( Sitting on my board and then seeing loads of squirmy grey fish all over it...

they wernt stuck in the spring tide, more likely they in a feeding freezy off sandeel or whitebait, ive been at saunton when that happens masses of sandeel jumping over the front of your board when you paddle out. sat in the line up with pollock mackrel and bass all jumping out the water around you, it was quite a cool experience
