Im at work watching the Holland - Argentina match. I had a narky feeling that we were gonna get hammered by the Argies, but we seem to be holding our own. Hopefully it'll continue into the second half so I have an excuse to go home and get drunk in a celebratory way afterwards :wink:

Marco Van Basten should be fired. :evil:

Edit note: The above opinon was based on my anger about the fact that Van Basten totally ignored Van Nistelrooij in yesterday's game. That decission was just totally beyond my comprehension. Ruud may have not been perfoming well in WC, but to deny the possibility of him scoring in such important match is just plain crazy.

Henry is a disgrace! I can't believe he cheated to get that free kick. He should be banned for the next game. Anyhow I am gutted for Spain that they lost, they have been so good in this World Cup whereas France have been crap all the way through. Still they somehow performed tonight and did get the win fair and square apart from Henry's foul.

At least it was a whole lot better and cleaner match than Holland VS Portugal.

Oh well. That penalty was a killer. Guess we gotta wait another 4 years now. At least we'll seed at 14th instead of 42nd :D

I completely agree Doug. Australia got SCREWED!!!!! No way was it a penalty, I feel really gutted for Australia because they have been so good in the competition

Yeah, well.

As you can imagine there are some awefully pissed off Aussies :D

Don't be surprised if you see the ref's house with smashed windows and drunken Aussies all over the lawn :)

I dont blame them. I was so pissed off when it happened. They were completely screwed out of it, and they were the better team imo.

Australia only has themselves to blame. OK the penalty was a little suspect but they were playing against 10 men for practically the whole of the second half and you have just got to put a team away in that situation.

I really don't get this. Marco excluded Ruud from the match on Sunday because they had an argument the night before and some team member even said that it has become Marco's objective to end Ruud's WC career. And now KNVB actually extend MvB's contract until the next WC in 2010?

I hope it'll be Germany against France in the final. Because it will be a good game to watch. But I can only hope of course.
