my turn to spam the forum!!

I dont know what you lot will think of this, but I have just (about two minutes ago) launched a little venture called http://www.iwanttobuyandsell.co.uk .

At the moment it is very bland, and very basic; but Im hoping even if it brings me £10 a month it all will add up towards a house or something for the future.

Because the site isnt very big yet, Im offering 100 FREE advertisements to the first 100 emails I receive.

I hope this post is ok under forum rules, if not then feel free to remove it

Did you invest money on this ? If so, I think it's very risky. You have to compete with Ebay, and other forums (any forums usually have selling and buying section and they are usually free). The question is, what makes your webstie any better than others that people would chose to use it? You need to make it more interesting for people to use it. If you didn't invest anything on it than it's fine I suppose.

Don't take this the wrong way (it's not a presonal attack or anyting like that), I thought you want some feedback about it.

Im sorry to say but after chatting to the IT boys about your new venture the word missed and boat come into play :( SOrry!
Because Goolge are in the process of launching their own ebay type thing which by all accounts is going to be a free service. And also every forum has a classified section, but dont lose heart because ebay was invented to sell those pez sweet dispensers and look how succesful that became!!!

hi all :D

not really in it to *compete* with ebay, but with ebay you pay a quid or two and the item stays on there for like a week... gimme 3 quid and its there forever

am aware that most forums have a 4sale and wanted section, but generally it tends to be specialist stuff, whereas her you could get your hands on anything - within reason.

cheers folks :D

go for it darhlin .. dont sink your life savings into it but go for it  :D

I highly reccommend learning as much as possible about how google works then you can keep yourself as high as possible in their listings without paying for the premium " pay-per click phrases " .. i was taught how to keep on top of it but it does soak up a hell of a lot of time ... a hell of a lot of time :(

probably would help if i ever finish this website re-build .. but its just soooo damn boring to me  :D
