yer he was quite stoned but well funny when i spoke to him. I know on that dvd he is ripping the place up, that fotage of him in Chile riding those pretty massive waves was insane!
Is he one of those people that is so local that when he paddles out everyone sits back and lets him take a wave or two?

the more i think about it, it isnt that hard to get air on a long board, all you need is the right board, a hell of a lot of speed, the right wave with a perfect lip, and alot of experiance on getting air on other boards., then all you need is alot of practice, and you should pull it off. but what are the chances of all that heppening? none

Ok well I'd better check it out. I'm open to all types of longboarding but I always thought it should be about glide. Drop knee turns , noserides , cross stepping etc. I thought if you wanted to do airs you should ride a shortboard. But hey thats just me. What do you peoples think?

There's at least two styles of longboarding: noseriding and high preformance. Usually a really good noserider is not going to have high preformance (just not built for it).
But, I'm with you as far as what I do...I ride my longboard for noseriding (can't actually do it yet, but I'm learning) and glide and extended smooth flowing turns, relaxed surfing, and I ride my shortboard for the high preformance.

well the thing is about longboarding, the noesriders only noes ride, but the high performace ruders, chuck in a bit of noes riging hear and their because high performance boards can be made with hidro hulls at the front and all that lot.

It's always interesting to see people do these tricks on shortboard, but it's even more interesting when it's done on longboard. I imagine it would also be interesting to see longboard tricks done on shortboard. At least that's how I see it.

last night it was about 2-4ft and sort of clean, and i was he only person catching the set waves as everyone was catching these dinky little waves, so i had to dodge all these people on the inside, and i figured out that i could do sharp turn's, i did a few cut backs and alot of snaps ( not with m noes of the wave, just u and down sharply). i was so happy
