I just grin at everyone :D

If they're being nice to you, its the right response.
If they're near you but not bothering you, its friendly.
If they're glaring at you, it means you win the argument by being happy at them.
If they think you're crazy, then they need to sort out their own lives and start smiling more :D

I find I scowl at people in the water (park, pub, high street) when in fact Im just squinting into the sun or focussing on something, so smiling all the time lessens that effect :D

Well in my City in Germany i think its sometimes safer not to smile back then to smile at the wrong people... sad isnt it.

But with surfers probably not a problem :D

Aha, that explains why the Germans don't smile.

no offence at all... at least the average german tourist is just a boring faggit... I cant stand them! The last year that Ive spended travlin arround nz, ozi and now bali, Ive met heaps of germans, and I didnt like one of them... unlike the many other friends I made...

The average German is just boring and unwilling to adapt... the average...

sorry I think that's kind of off-topic :D

My husband says the samething about his own people. Mind you he had not been living in Germany since highschool. But both his parents are living in Germany though, and they are super lovely couple despite their lack of English speaking skills. :D

I hope you are enjoying Bali.

I was in the same position as you where I didn't want to wear my contacts while I was surfing. I began researching lasik information and decided it would be my best option. After lasik eye surgery my eyes are perfect and I have no problem surfing.

I think there shouldn't be any problem if you go surfing having Daily Disposable Contact Lenses. The best thing would be that the blur stuff would not occur with it. And as it is cheap and maintenance free it would be easy for you to have it. :)

i need contact lenses and surf fine without them. as long as you can see the waves then its not a problem. it may be useful to memories what your friends look like when you cant see well though lol.

Save your eyes!

Silverfish does a great job with prescription water glasses. They are really fast also.
