Weight difference between pop-outs and customs'?

Postby hellspawn1 » Mon Jun 05, 2006 9:00 am

I know that epoxy pop-outs from NSP and bic have a bad rep, partly because they're heavy as logs (!) For example, an nsp 6'4" fishboard weighs around 10 pounds,

so, my question is: How much does the "known better", typical fiberglass board weigh?

How much is the difference?

I started out on a epoxy bic minimal which was about twice the weight of my equal size 'custom' board, but the glass job on my spider is quite light.
It's not just about weight the feel of a glass board is so much better!

yeah, but HOW much does the weight differ?! =)

I mean is it like half... as in epoxy 10 pounds / fibreglass 5 (!) ?

or what

and what exactly is "s-core" ? :D
