Shortboarding....???

Postby audinsurfs » Fri Jun 02, 2006 4:41 pm

Hey I was wondering if it would be possiable t be barreled when on a shortboard, or is it only for longboards? And I was also wondering a few other things:

Would it be a good idea if I got a custom made surfboard as my first?

Can a Hybrid be 6'00 feet long, or does it have to be 7'2 and above? (I'm asking this because I'm a lightweight person--101 pounds and only 5'00 feet tall.)

Thanks!

yes and no

yes you can get barrelled on a shortboard, just do a google image search for pipeline , or any barrell-related words, most will show shortboarders not longboarders 8)

no, you dont need a custom for your first board jsut get something faiirly big, floaty and cheap cos chances are its gonna get pretty bashed up.
