There are several guys that are good longboard coaches down in the South West.

Lee Ryan gives longboard lessons - http://www.longboarding.co.uk/ - he has several UK, and European longboard titles under his belt and he does give one on one lessons too. Nice guy too. He is based in Cornwall but may travel up.

Nick Thorn down in Woolacombe is not specific longboard but I hear he gives longboard lessons: http://www.nickthorn.com/

bluesnowcone2000, let me know how you get on with the lesson if you decide to take it. I was looking into it myself and any feedback from someone who have had the lesson would be much appreciated.
