when are you expecting this swell?
only asking cos a i cant see anything at the buoys and all i can see on the charts is a couple of small swells forecast for the next 2 weeks.
i'll take your word for it tho ;)

Difficult one to call at the moment, as lots of the models and charts are disagreeing, but there is a strong chance of a fairly big swell towards the latter half of next week. But also looking like some strong winds too so might just leap from flat to blown-out storm surf.

Bit too early to tell. Dont start waxing your board just yet

Personal experence suggest that its going to be atleast half the size currently forcast. Plus the winds are lame.
Don't get your hopes up...

yep, in my experience magicseaweeds "forecasts" are usually double the size at the beach, and thats at the beaches which pick up all the swell (llangennith or fresh west for south wales) you can halve it again for most other breaks. but at least it looks bigger than this weekends sliop, just hope the wind doesnt mess it up!
I usually go by soulsurfers forecast on a1surf, theyre generally pretty accurate.

aye hte NOAA data models tend to exagerate everything more than 4/5 days into the future. But after a while you get to know how things usually turn out as well as how to make the most of any actual swell/bouy data...

Hey,

Usually i kite down poole and bournemouth, avon beach being my favourite. But i occasionally work in gosport so when i do and the winds blowing i get down to hill head, not often but occasionally. I'm easy to spot on the beach as i'm nearly always the only one flying flysurfer kites!

Maybe... just maybe!

With the system being a mass of detacting mini systems feeding each other its unlikly.. esp as the models suggest another sytems pushing in fast behind. (but if that fast one tracks south then woooohooo!
