I might actually surf!!!

So its been a long time since October, but I think I may have finally landed a real surfing trip!! That's right, actual waves from an actual ocean, no boats, no lakes, just waves!

I'm stoked!!

Only problem is....it's on mother's day.....we'll see how this turns out

I finally ordered a blank so I can build my new board yesterday!!

big week in the history of my surfing....sorta....

maybe I'll finally stop twitching after I get some saltwater in me....

Yup, just heading down to Va Beach, maybe a little bit further down to my favorite spot.

I'm not a mom, but my mom is (believe it or not)


I think the deal is that we are gonna leave really early Sunday morning, and get down around 7 or 8, surf till 10 or 11, and then scoot back home for some quailty mom time.

I hope...

MSW is showing 5 ft @ 7 seconds, with a 15 mph cross shore.... not too bad, but monday is 10.5 ft @ 7 seconds with an offshore breeze.

It's official!!!!

I will be going surfing. But on Saturday. Also going to look for a new board, although I am still building!

well, I have out grown my thruster...by a lot...and I keep procrastinating to get a new one.

But I am building a new one, a 6'8" retro egg, but I might pick up a retro fish as well. I do have my longboardish mal whatever retro board which is going good.

I dunno. But I am getting rid of my thruster. I thought I would keep it for boat surfing, but I'm still too big for it.

guess what happened today!

I surfed!! And, there were waves. Rather crowded, but I didn't piss anyone off too bad (a magical feat for a busy day at 1st street).

Oh yeah! and they had a monster truck rally on the beach, so between sets you got to see a whole bunch of rednecks cheering for monster trucks wrecking cars
