Board & suit hire in Lacanau, Silver Coast, France

Hey, does anyone know if there is a place where u can hire a board and spring suit in Lacanau (for a decent price)??? Hitching down this summer with some mates, can't take a board.... Is the surf there pretty sweet? Does the night life go off? Any tips about sweet places to surf and party on the French coast are welcome.

Lol..sorry i cant help you much. The only place i have heard of in france is Belharra (st jean de luz) surf....thats supposed to be a big wave surf spot! But thats all i know.

Never been to Lacanau myself but I know it goes off cos they have a WQS comp there in the summer, and then of course there's Hossegor, which I have been to and can confirm it has pretty much all a surfer could think off asking for . But to be honest the whole west coast of France goes off really .

i been to lacanau dozens of times i love it there. Theres about 4 or 5 surf shops in the town and they all do board hire (its the main business there).
I guess they all do wetsuit hire but you wont need one unless its really overcast and cold (unlikely there), and then your better off getting one of those £25 asda shorties to take with you for that.
