Postby Barbara Devoti » Wed May 03, 2006 2:13 pm

I'm looking for some advice and top tips on how accommodation can be improved for surfers. Any feedback appreciated.

Having someone there and waiting...at no extra charge of course.. completely hot and from Brazil preferably...

To help me get outa my dam wetsuit and to give the best warmest most relaxingest deep muscle tissue massage ever in the whole world universe of all time...

And if I feel like it...for them to stay on to act as a hot water bottle, snuggly blanket thingee to help me warm up and recover.

goody good goodness...

wow.

That would improve accommodation for surfers all over the world for sure!

PS... I don't mind doing this job for anyone who needs it either... just lemme know k..

little bit of reciprocation never hurt in this circumstance aye!?

Elevators with taller/wider doors so I don't bang up my board trying to get to my hotel room. Also narrow hallways and low ceilings don't work too well when lugging around an 8 foot or longer board.

secure storage for boards and wetsuits, easy access to them, or place to put them in room, plus showers in place where you can take off wetsuit, and maybe a little bit of privacy... maybe I'm just being paranoid but I swear there's always someone who stands and stares when I'm getting changed!

outdoor showers, cheap sales of essentials like wax and replacement leashes for guests.
I rarelystay in hotels but i guess somewhere to hang your wettie to dry securely would be a big plus.

Where I've stayed I've found outdoor showers and secure surfing racks (to store your boards) to be the best addition. Also stock up on surfing DVD's for your lodgers to get amped up before going out the next day, plus have access to surf reports readily available. Also have information about the surfing spots in your area available plus on which conditions they work best. You can't get better than that!!
