I'd say the reason you were mistaken for a girl is because dictionary.com defines nymph as;

1. Greek & Roman Mythology. Any of numerous minor deities represented as beautiful maidens inhabiting and sometimes personifying features of nature such as trees, waters, and mountains.

2. A girl, especially a beautiful one.

3. The larval form of certain insects, such as silverfish and grasshoppers, usually resembling the adult form but smaller and lacking fully developed wings. Also called nympha.

I find beginners quite easy to avoid since they tend to stay out of the way of local surfers who know where to sit and catch more waves.I'd call myself a learner now and tend to get more waves than the beginners but leave the best position in the line up to the good surfers, it seems that a natural pecking order develops apart from during school holidays when its a case of fight for every wave!
I dropped in on an old guy on a mal last week who is known to dominate the lineup and never gives anyone a wave, the wave was sweet and as I paddled back out he tried to stare me out but I just gave him the fleshin' you face!!! I don't normally drop in on someone but some people ask for it.
I'm happy to share waves though, I think its cool! 8)

Aroha mai!

It really is the best phrase in the world! It's Maori. New Zealand's own special language... which literaly means 'love this way'. Aroha - love, compassion, caring.. and mai means 'here in this direction, towards me'..

Like haere mai means come this way, korero mai means talk to me... like that.

It's used as a nice way to ask for forgiveness and to rebuild good things again.

So Aroha mai my friend.

Plus plus... The name is still awesome despite _______. There's something attractive about a sexy little man nymph too.. :lol:

The larval form of certain insects, such as silverfish and grasshoppers, usually resembling the adult form but smaller and lacking fully developed wings. Also called nympha.

Indeed we are a warm fuzzy group of warm fuzzy things.

Except for Cheezee- he is an evil, evil member. Never enter into conversation with him and never NEVER accept sweets off him :!:
