surfing in east africa/the gulf

im on the way to either sierra leone or the gulf in september and will be taking a couple of boards with me . does anyone have any tips on breaks or waves around freetown or any where close to. cheers

when i say 'east africa' - sierra leone , i do of course mean west africa!! doh!!

There are some cracking conditions to be had all the way down that coast and if your away from the main towns your be lucky if you see anyone else. Miles of endless points, reefs and beaches to be had!

and www.wannasurf.com for the well known spots as a start.
