Well I shortboard..

Longboarders have been annoying me lately...they paddle all the way out the back and catch the ripples that turn into waves over, and over again and then get pissed when THEY drop in on you. They are generally middle aged righteous egotistic surfers who think they own the beach...(sorry for the small rant, i know its not true..just some longboarders seem to act this way). Today a longboarder cut my arm, only a lil cut, but still hurts like a bi*ch

Well I wont vote because I cant say if one is better than the other. They are both equally worth trying. I shortboard and love quick, fast movement, sharp turns...etc everything you can do on a shortboard. But i'd also love to have a longboard because paddling is easier, noseriding, and pretty much doing whatever you want on a wave.
Its all good in surfing :D

I'm sitting on the fence too. Everyone to their own. Each has its merits. and at the end of the day you know what I'd vote for if it was there ;)

No vote. Depends on the spot, the waves, the day, the crowd (where's that Gemini ;).

that is true cuz on smaller wave days longboarding can be better sam goes for shortboards and medium to large waves...but since i shortboard..i go with that.

Personally, I dont get on with longboards - if there's a choice of where to put my feet I get all confused

But the single most impressive bit of surfing I saw last year was a guy on a huge board in double overhead conditions, and he made me and most of the other shortboarders out there look like kooks

So Im voting 'none of the above' too
