what board should I get?

I have just brought a 6"3 thruster surfboard after having learnt to surf on foamies. i had no luck with this board and i am going to exchange it. can anyone give me any idea on what board to get next?
any help much appreciated,

Get a board around 8 feet. As thick as you can find, with a rounded nose.

You'll have way more fun.

you remind me of myself when i first started, i was so anxious to get on a shortboard, but ended up disappointed, do yourself a favor, sell it and get a funboard, anything above 7'2" will be fine

Yeah I agree with all of the above.
Try a second hand mini mal above 7" or one of those new BIC 7"3 I hear there great fun!!!

i was got a short board for my fisrt board, it was way to small, but i just stuck with it, but now iv gone to longboarding, way more fun, and im actualy pretty good at it. ( it will either be a yellow short board or a 9' blueish longboard)

This is probably the best all round board to begin on. Its cheap and easy to learn on. I bought a 7'3 bic mini mal to start on and I was happy I did. They are nice first time boards, I still use it now and again. FistralSurf.com do amazing deals, I had mine off there with a bag, leesh, wax and wetsuit for £284 when I started out - what a bargain :D
