tourists

i nearly threw up when i saw how packed bude was this weekend. the crowds really do my head in and its only gets worse in the summer. why dont tourists go somewhere nice like scotland and walk up some mountains rather than frying on the beach 12 hours a day for 2 weeks.

yeah right driftwood i don't know how bad it gets on other coasts but in cornwall it gets real bad. i know we need their money but can't we put a limit on how many fat northeners come and roast on our beaches they might as well go to benadorm.

i agree we need the money from tourism but i just cant handle it when the roads and streets are just stuffed full of people and cars.

whilst on the theme of tourism/holidays youve probably seen the plans for the holiday park thingy down at carylon bay.

i dunno what the surf is like there, but how can they be allowed to destroy an area of sandy beach. we are supposedly becoming more environmentally friendly but local councils still allow thing like this to happen, i guess they just want the money that will be brought in.

luckily the nat trust owns 119 miles of cornish coast and 91 miles of devon coast so all that is well protected.
